Job Description:
Position: Head of Sales
 Location: Tanzania
 Salary: USD 2,000 – 3,000/month
Job Summary:
 We are looking for a result-oriented and visionary Head of Sales to lead the sales function of our trading and distribution business. This role is responsible for designing and executing strategic sales plans, managing a high-performing team, driving revenue growth, and building strong customer relationships across African markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets. 
- 
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure consistent performance and goal achievement. 
- 
Set sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics, monitoring results and implementing improvements as needed. 
- 
Identify key markets and customer segments for business expansion. 
- 
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. 
- 
Create effective pricing strategies and sales incentive programs to maximize profitability. 
- 
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams for seamless go-to-market strategies and product alignment. 
- 
Monitor competitor activities and market trends, adjusting strategies proactively. 
- 
Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue tracking. 
- 
Conduct regular performance reviews, team meetings, and training sessions. 
- 
Manage high-value deals, negotiations, and key accounts. 
- 
Evaluate and implement sales tools and CRM systems to optimize productivity. 
- 
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events. 
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage. 
- 
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a senior sales role, preferably in the African trading/distribution market. 
- 
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and leading high-performance teams. 
- 
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. 
- 
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial management abilities. 
- 
Proficient in CRM tools, sales software, and Microsoft Office suite. 
- 
High emotional intelligence, result-driven mindset, and customer-centric approach.
