Position: Production Manager – Garments Division
Location: Arusha, Tanzania
Department: Garments Division (Manufacturing)
Reports to: Head of Operations / Director
Role Summary
The Production Manager – Garments Division will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day
operations of the garment manufacturing facility. The role requires strong leadership,
production planning, quality control, and operational efficiency skills to ensure timely
delivery of high-quality garments products. The position will play a key role in aligning
factory performance with AtoZ Group’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Production Management:
o Plan, direct, and monitor garment production activities to meet set targets
(output, quality, cost, delivery timelines).
o Ensure smooth workflow across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing
sections.
o Maintain optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.
• Quality Assurance:
o Ensure compliance with quality standards and buyer specifications.
o Collaborate with QA/QC teams to minimize defects, reworks, and rejections.
• Cost & Efficiency:
o Monitor production costs and implement strategies for cost control and
waste reduction.
o Improve productivity and efficiency through process optimization and lean
manufacturing practices.
• Workforce Management:
o Lead, train, and motivate production supervisors and staff to achieve
performance goals.
o Foster a culture of discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Safety:
o Ensure compliance with labor laws, buyer requirements, and industry
regulations.
o Maintain workplace safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Reporting & Coordination:
o Prepare and present regular production, quality, and efficiency reports to
senior management.
o Coordinate with merchandising, supply chain, and maintenance teams for
seamless operations.
Qualifications & Experience
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale workforce and factory operations.
• Expertise in production planning, efficiency improvement, and lean manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
