Job Description:

Title / Designation Senior Manager / Manager, Corporate R&D

Preferred background/experience Electrical / electronics design engineering background with:  12-15 years in Research and Product and/or Application Development 

Hands-on experience on automation & controls, design and testing of hardware and software components  Strong experience in Product Design, failure mode analysis, statistical analysis  Exposure to concepts such as image analysis, AI, IoT Key responsibilities / Key Result Areas Evaluate and develop concepts into new or improved products or services:  Conduct techno-commercial feasibility study on concepts (Application Engineering)  Conceptualize, conduct experiments, detailed engineering & development, build prototypes and validate  Analyse data from laboratory experiments, field installations, competitor analysis (willing to travel)  Identify external agencies to partner with and accelerate development  Provide input to Corporate R&D budget

Skills required  NPD programme and project management  Hands-on experience with entire cycle of Product Development from concept to field trials, and their requirements  Excellent written and verbal communication in English  Experience with intellectual property, product certification  Proficient in MS Office Personality traits Individual with high integrity, and with “growth mindset”  Successfully work with diverse teams; coach / mentor team members  Self-starter who ‘owns’ the assignments  Quick learner to learn on the job  Attention to detail  Well-organized and manages time effectively
